Introduction to the topic:

The Creative Thinking Lab is an immersive, reflective workshop designed for leaders, supervisors, and business owners who want to think differently about leadership, innovation, and workplace culture. While focusing on techniques or productivity hacks, this workshop invites participants to examine the invisible assumptions that shape how they lead, make decisions, respond to challenges, and relate to their teams.

Through experiential exercises, guided reflection, group dialogue, and interactive activities, participants will explore how workplace culture is formed, how power shows up in subtle ways, and how leaders can intentionally create environments where people think more freely and contribute more fully. This is not a theory-heavy session. It is a thinking lab- participatory, grounded, and practical.

Objective:

  • To help leaders become aware of the assumptions shaping their leadership style
  • To explore how authority, hierarchy, and communication impact creativity
  • To strengthen reflective thinking and decision-making skills
  • To cultivate environments that encourage ownership, psychological safety, and innovation
  • To equip participants with practical tools for building collaborative teams

Topics to be Covered

    • The Invisible Scripts of Leadership What beliefs about leadership have you absorbed over time? Where did they come from? How do they influence your expectations of yourself and others?
    • Creating Conditions for Creative Thinking Moving beyond brainstorming techniques to examine the emotional and relational climate that supports original thinking.
    • Feedback as Development Rethinking how performance conversations can build growth instead of defensiveness.
    • Encouraging Ownership and Agency Shifting from directive leadership to collaborative problem-solving without losing clarity or direction.
  • Practical Shifts for Everyday Leadership Small, implementable changes in meetings, reviews, and team conversations that can increase engagement and innovation.

Target Audience

  • Business owners and entrepreneurs
  • Senior leaders and department heads
  • Team managers and supervisors
  • Consultants and organisational facilitators
  • Professionals seeking more thoughtful and sustainable leadership models

Key Takeaways

  • Greater clarity about personal leadership patterns and blind spots
  • Tools to build psychologically safe and collaborative team environments
  • Practical strategies to balance authority with openness
  • A clearer understanding of how workplace culture is shaped daily
  • Increased confidence in leading teams through reflection rather than reaction

The Creative Thinking Lab reframes leadership as an evolving practice, one that grows stronger when leaders are willing to examine how they think, relate, and respond.
