Introduction to the topic:
We often talk about disruption, innovation, and agility in business. We spend millions on technology, R&D, and strategy to keep our organizations competitive. But in our quest for growth, we often overlook the single most important operating system that determines our success: our mindset. For too long, in many of our industries, success has been defined by how smart we look, how quickly we avoid mistakes, and how tightly we hold onto “proven” expertise. That, my colleagues, is a Fixed Mindset a belief that our talents, intelligence, and organizational capabilities are static. In a volatile, uncertain world, a fixed mindset isn’t just a limitation; it is a liability that leads to stagnation, groupthink, and risk aversion. Coined by Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck, a growth mindset is the belief that abilities, intelligence, and leadership capacity can be developed through dedication, effort, and strategic learning. It is the understanding that not knowing something is merely a starting point the “Power of Yet.”
