Free and Preferential Trade Agreements between the countries have become an integral part of International Trade. India is no exception to this universal phenomenon.
At present India has sixteen FTA’s & over hundred PTA’s with different countries of the world. Numerous FTAs & PTA’s are at an advanced stage of negotiation with leading Industrialized countries of the world such as the U.S.A, U.K, Mauritius, European Union etc.
To prevent misuse of the facility, the Govt. of India announced New Set of Rules, titled as “Customs (Administration of Rules of Origin under Trade Agreements) Rules, 2020” or “CAROTAR 2020” in its abbreviated form.
The objective of this webinar is to acquaint the participants and importers with the nuances of handling imports from countries under FTA / PTA with specific reference to newly announced Rules “CAROTAR 2020.
