Prof. Satyajit Majumdar is a distinguished academic and practitioner with over 40 years of experience in entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship and strategic management. A graduate in Electrical and Industrial Engineering, he holds advanced degrees in Management and a PhD and is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India).
He has held key advisory roles with the Government of India, academic councils, and innovation bodies, contributing to policy, skill development, and research globally. An acclaimed researcher and speaker, he is also a ‘distinguished alumnus’ of SGSITS, Indore.
Prof. Majumdar is currently the Managing Director of TISS Incube Foundation(Incubation Centre of TISS Mumbai) and Retd. Professor, Centre for Social Entrepreneurship; and Ex- Dean of School of Management and Labor Studies, TISS Mumbai. He continues to lead programs in social entrepreneurship, growth strategy and CSR while mentoring startups and consulting organizations. He has also been appointed as Distinguished Adjunct Professor at Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India(EDI) Ahmedabad and continues to be the Co-chair of the Steering Committee on Biotechnology Based programme for Societal Development and the Secretary for Society of Entrepreneurship Educators.
