Introduction

Various studies have shown that many employees in the different organisations experience lack of courtesy and moral compassion. Sometimes supervisors are afraid of offending someone by correcting their behaviour, their appearance, or their language, and even the subordinates at times are not able to communicate their challenges and struggle to have difficult conversations. Fundamentally, people like to work in an environment where there is mutual liking and trust and a lack of it leads to disconnected employees, decreased motivation, and poor work-life balance. Objective

Workplace etiquette helps us define workplace expectations, acceptable behaviours, and ways to effective communication. Defining it creates a professional, mutually respectful atmosphere and improves communication. When people feel respected and find a safe space to express themselves, they feel better about their jobs and this helps an organisation serve as a productive place.

Speaker

Ms. Anisha Jhunjhunwala is a Counselling Psychologist and Founder of The Making of You. Along with Masters in Psychology, she has completed her Diploma in Community Mental Health for Psychologists from NIMHANS, Bangalore. She is also a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)Practitioner and an Emotional Wellness Coach. She has impacted 10000+ people through various skill development workshops, career awareness sessions and mental health related sessions for audiences of different age-groups and has been a guest speaker at various platforms in India and globally to advocate well-being. Having worked with brands like Bharti Airtel Limited, NHPC Limited and with a diverse experience of more than 12 years in the field of training & development, education, mental health and corporate law, she is great at understanding people coming from diverse backgrounds and making the learning experiential based on their needs. She is a Faculty member for training at the Surat Branch of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).
