Speaker Profile

Captain Sumisha Shankar, a Senior Manager within WIPRO Ltd’s Global Security Group, is a dynamic leader in the Center of Excellence. Working under the visionary leadership of Captain Sanjay Sharma, the Global Head, and Colonel Anirudh Prasad, the Function Head of COE (Governance), she spearheads creative leadership development, training, and competency enhancement.
Sumisha is an Alpha-grade Instructor and a former Indian Army Ordnance Officer with six years of experience. Her academic achievements include an MBA from Symbiosis, Pune, and a B.A. (Hons) in Geography from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She’s also a Post Graduate in Indian Classical Dance (Kathak) from the National Institute of Kathak in Delhi.
Sumisha’s influence extends to the media, with features in NETFLIX India, VOGUE, India Today, Deccan Chronicle, and FEMINA India.
With over a decade of leadership experience, she has served in diverse roles, including war operations, logistics, and human resource development in the Indian Army. She has also partnered with corporate clients like Daimler Benz, Mauritius Police Force, State Bank of India, and Mahindra and Mahindra. Sumisha’s training approach combines artistic tools, military ethics, and Indian classical philosophy, setting her training systems apart in the corporate world.
