Mumbai 4.0, which captures the vision of vibrant & modern Mumbai, is a key and important plank of Bombay Chamber. Who could be better than the future and upcoming generation, millennials & young children to express their vision and thoughts about how they would they like their Mumbai to be. We also remember the words “Children are not things to be moulded but are people to be unfolded” – Jess Lair. Hence, we approached these children to express their visions of Mumbai. As if they were just waiting for the trigger to pour forth, the children went about telling us about their dreams through drawings and small messages. The deluge of creativity and enthusiasm touched our heart and left us in a tight spot as to the final short listing!
The book which you see shines with these beautiful yet simple drawings with clear messages of what they expect us to work towards, whether as institutions or as individuals. The children have asked Mumbai to be pollution and plastic free, green, with play grounds and housing for all.
