Overview

The Conclave comes at a pivotal time for India’s social impact and philanthropic ecosystem. With SEBI strengthening and refining the Social Stock Exchange (SSE) framework, the regulatory landscape for Not-for-Profit Organisations (NPOs), social enterprises and impact investors is evolving rapidly. The recent changes cover important aspects such as NPO registration on the SSE, fundraising through Zero Coupon Zero Principal (ZCZP) instruments, minimum subscription requirements, disclosures and greater accountability in the deployment of funds.

The Conclave will explore what these emerging mandates mean in practice, the opportunities they create for mobilising larger pools of capital, and the challenges organisations may face in becoming investment- and disclosure-ready. It will also examine how CSR and philanthropic capital can evolve alongside these new market-based mechanisms to deliver greater scale, transparency and measurable social impact.
