Introduction:

India has entered into several Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with key global markets including the United Kingdom, UAE, Australia, EFTA countries, ASEAN, Japan, South Korea, Mauritius and several other partner nations. With more agreements under negotiation, FTAs are becoming an integral part of India’s international trade strategy.

These agreements offer significant opportunities to exporters by providing reduced or zero customs duties, improved market access and enhanced competitiveness. However, many businesses are yet to fully utilise these benefits due to limited understanding of the applicable procedures, Rules of Origin, documentation requirements and compliance obligations.

To help businesses understand and effectively leverage these opportunities, the Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry is organizing a practical and knowledge-oriented seminar on Free Trade Agreements.

Topics Covered:

1. Overview of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs)
2. Understanding how FTAs work and what happens under an FTA
3. Identifying export opportunities across various products under FTAs
4. Rules of Origin, documentation, conditions and compliance requirements
5. Procedure for obtaining Preferential Certificate of Origin (COO)
6. Interactive Question & Answer Session
