Background:

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a cornerstone of the Indian economy, driving inclusive growth, employment, and industrial development. With over 7 crore enterprises employing more than 30 crore people, the sector significantly contributes to GDP, manufacturing, and exports. While MSMEs have shown resilience amid global disruptions such as the pandemic, geopolitical shifts, and supply chain changes, challenges like limited access to finance, delayed payments, regulatory complexities, and technology gaps persist.

At the same time, opportunities arising from digitalisation, global trade integration, policy reforms, and platforms like TReDS and GeM are transforming the sector, making it more competitive and future-ready.

In this context, the Bombay Chamber’s MSME Forum is organising the MSME Conclave 4.0, themed “MSME Growth in a Changing World: Policy, Trade & Technology,” on Friday, 29th May 2026, at  ITC Grand Central, Parel, Mumbai, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. The conclave will focus on policy, trade, and technology as key drivers of MSME growth and provide a platform for dialogue, knowledge sharing, and actionable insights.

The conclave will feature insightful sessions addressing critical aspects of MSME growth:

  • Evolving Labour Laws: MSME Perspective: Understanding recent labour law reforms, compliance requirements, and their impact on MSME operations and workforce management.
  • Bilateral Trade Opportunities for MSMEs in the Evolving Global Landscape: Exploring emerging international markets, trade agreements, and export opportunities for MSMEs.
  • Leveraging AI for MSME Growth: Adoption of artificial intelligence for improving productivity, efficiency, customer engagement, and decision-making.
  • TReDS Portal: Bridging MSMEs and Banks for Seamless Trade: Enhancing liquidity through invoice discounting and improving access to working capital.
  • GeM: Unlocking Government Market Opportunities for MSMEs: Enabling MSMEs to participate in government procurement and expand market reach through digital platforms.

Key Takeaways:
