Background

Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) is a sustainability reporting framework introduced by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to enhance ESG disclosures in accordance with the global standards. BRSR is the successor of Business Responsibility Reporting (BRR) and is a step towards integrating the sustainability and financial performance of the business. BRSR is a mandatory requirement for the top 1000 listed companies by market value from FY 2022-23.

Prathmesh Raichura , Partner, Climate Change and Sustainability Services, KPMG in India

Mr. Raichura has over 19 years of expertise in the Climate Change and Sustainability arena, with an emphasis on ESG Strategy, Reporting Advisory, and Assurance. He has experience working on initiatives supported by the Indian government, including life cycle assessment studies and the development of a national master plan for turning waste into energy. He serves on a number of national and international advisory and working bodies aimed at improving the global sustainability agenda. He is a qualified auditor in quality and environment and safety management systems. He is a certified GRI Trainer and has delivered several trainings to organisations in order to help them develop sustainability strategies.
