The Chamber’s Labour Department has for over four decades, been providing services in matters pertaining to industrial and labour relations.

Detailed below are the various services provided to companies:

A. REPRESENTATION & APPEARANCE IN COURTS

Appearance in State & Central Industrial and Labour Courts at Mumbai/Thane/Pune in respect of industrial disputes under the I.D.Act, complaints under the MRTU & PULP Act, matters under the BIR Act and other related labour statutes.

Assistance to companies in conciliation proceedings and before other statutory authorities under various labour laws.

 

B. LEGAL OPINIONS & CONSULTATIVE ADVICE

Advisory assistance in building up various systems in personnel procedures and routines like recruitment, selection, performance appraisal, drafting of appointment letters, service rules etc.

Guidance and conducting negotiations with labour / trade unions.

 

C. ARBITRATION IN LABOUR MATTERS

The Chamber has a panel of arbitrators who are well versed in their field to arbitrate in labour disputes like breach of Service arrangement and wage disputes etc. This service provides quick and economical remedy to the disputants under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.

 

D. DIGEST OF LABOUR LAWS, DECISIONS & ALLIED MATTERS

This is a handy digest containing summary of the latest legal decisions, relevant to line as well as HR Managers, in their day to day interaction with employees/unions/Government, published every month. The digest is prepared by careful selection from over 7 law journals like the LLJ, LLN, FLR, FJR, CLR, LLR, LIC and similar sources. An encapsulated form of the most useful and important decisions, the digest is a must for the busy managers. Annual Subscription Rs.400/-.
