There can be no relationship without communication. Even in a strained relationship people have to be professional enough to have at least a working relationship. Listening with responsibility, ensuring understanding through 2-way communication are other vital areas of communication. For Communication to be effective the different nuances of verbal and nonverbal communication and differing perceptions of people have to be taken into account.
Not only oral but written communication too has to be clear and effective for successful organizations.

a) Preparation - be clear about your purpose, identify your reader’s needs
b) Research – When required compile a set of notes, create a working outline, collect bits of information you will need
c) Organization - determine best sequence to present your ideas, organize so the readers can comprehend easily, outlining makes complex subject easier to organize
d) Writing the Draft - convert your outline into sentences and paragraphs, Just start – do not worry about a good beginning
e) Revision - revision is the final step, read and evaluate the draft from reader’s point of view
