Introduction :
The New Export Incentive Scheme – RoDTEP was announced by the Government of India on 1st January, 2021. This Scheme replaces the existing Merchandise Export Incentive Scheme (MEIS). All shipments post 1st January, 2021 are eligible for this incentive.
RoDTEP is a compilation of MEIS and Rebate of State & Central Taxes and Levies (RoSCTL).
The Scheme envisages reimbursement of 27 elements of Direct & Indirect Taxes which are currently not reimbursed to the exporters and hence become part of their Export Price.
