Part 1: White Collar and Cyber Crime and its Implications – 
Speaker: Mr. Ankoosh Mehta, Partner, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas 
1.  Basic concepts of white collar crimes:
  •   What the term ‘white collar crime’ denotes and how a white-collar crime is categorised differently from the other forms of crimes.

  •   Different kinds of white collar crimes by way of examples.

2.  Investigation of white collar crimes:
  •   How white collar crimes are regulated and what is the nature of the offences categorised under white collar crimes.

  •   Potential liability of individual / organisations.

  •   Measures that can be taken to mitigate a white collar crime, and in the alternative, to deal with its impact.

  •   Investigative process of a white collar crimes, including the relevant enforcement agencies, their powers, the manner in which an investigation is conducted, admissibility of evidence, and the impact of the same on any on-going civil litigation.

Mr. Ankoosh Mehta

Mr. Ankoosh Mehta is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Team at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas. Ankoosh focuses on arbitrations (domestic and international),  corporate/commercial litigation and real estate disputes. He also has extensive experience in white collar investigations, including cyber crime offences, and litigation along with private client practice related litigation.


Mr. Amit Solanki

Mr. Amit Solanki, President, Liability & Special Risks. Howden Insurance Broker India Pvt. Ltd. He has over 13 years of experience in Liability Insurance vertical across insurance brokers like Marsh &  JLT Insurance Brokers. He has been instrumental in building a team of highly expert liability lines professionals to deliver tailor made solutions for some of the largest corporates in India. He has hands on experience in handling some of the most complex Global Liability placements and claims for leadings corporates.


Ms. Bhranti Shah

Ms. Bhranti Shah, Vice President - HDFC Ergo General Insurance Co. Ltd. She is currently heading the Liability Lines Underwriting in HDFC ERGO for the South and East Zones. She is Instrumental in structuring  large risks under  Cyber, Crime, Tech E&O, D&O and other Casualty and Speciality Lines of Liability spread across various Industries. She has conducted several seminars on Liability and specifically Crime and Cyber lines across India . She comes with over 15 Plus years of rich experience in General Insurance industry Specializing in Liability insurance including 3 years exposure in the US Market. She holds a degree in Law, post graduate MBA in HR  and Industrial Law .
