Interactive Session Impact of Padmashri Subhash Palekars Natural Farming - Oct 06, 2020

About the Topic :

India has sunlight throughout the year. We have the capacity to produce nutritious medicinal food for entire world population and we can capture world market by selling nutritious medicinal food. Food processing is biggest sector which can generate employment in the country if planned strategically.

Curious about the sudden change, Mr. Subhash Palekar began to look into the reasons for the decline. Three years of intensive research led him to the conclusion that chemical farming was the culprit. Mr. Subhash Palekar learnt that the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides led to a decrease in the fertility of the soil, wreaked havoc on the ecosystem of the area and also led to long-term health problems for those who consumed the fruits, grains and vegetables harvested under such conditions.
