Webinar on Circular Economy & Resource Efficiency - Sep 18, 2020

Background :

Circular Economy is the next big thing in sustainability and it has already received sufficient traction around the world. WEF says, a circular economy is an industrial system that is restorative or regenerative by intention and design and it replaces the end-of-life concept with restoration, shifts towards the use of renewable energy, eliminates the use of toxic chemicals, which impair reuse and return to the biosphere, and aims for the elimination of waste through the superior design of materials, products, systems and business models. The Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation in it’s report in 2016 finds that adopting circular economy principles would put India on a path to positive, regenerative, and value-creating development, with annual benefits of ₹40 lakh crore (US$ 624 billion) in 2050 compared with the current development path – equivalent to 30% of India’s current GDP. We at Bombay Chamber are trying to inculcate the knowledge of circular economy among member industries through this webinar so that they can maximize benefits in their businesses. Well known practitioners and experts will take you through concepts, best practices, technologies and future course of action.
