Interactive Session on Indian BFSI Sector and its Tryst with Data - Dec 10, 2019

The Personal Data Protection Bill has been listed to be tabled in the Winter Session of Parliament (which has commenced on November 18, 2019 and continue till December 13, 2019).
The Data Protection Bill, 2018 prepared by the Justice BN Srikrishna-led Committee is important and critical as there is an urgent need to create a powerful data protection law in India and this long-awaited Bill deals with handling and processing of consumer data by corporate entities, while introducing restrictions and penalties.
To sensitize Members of Bombay Chamber on the dos and don’ts of Data Protection Bill 2019, the Banking, Finance & Economic Affairs Committee is organizing an Interactive Session with eminent speakers to share their views broadly on
  • What sort of data is being captured / used today in the BFSI industry

  • What are the benefits of having this data captured, how does it speedup   the lending business?

  • What could be the implications of the impending data privacy regulations on BFSI industry?

  • What are the limitations of AI usage in BFSI INDUSTRY?

  • What is the future of BFSI industry with data growing on one side and privacy demands increasing on the other side?
