Workshop on Boosting Exports - New Tools - Challenges & Opportunities - Dec 17, 2019

Context :

Exports in last Six months have been stagnant. The trade war between USA & China is continuing & World Trade Organization has reduced the growth forecast from 3% to 2.7%.

 

We as a country are facing many challenges in International Trade. Government has announced that, MEIS would be withdrawn from 1st January 2020 & new scheme Remission of Duties or Taxes on Export Product (RoDTEP) would be introduced.

 

Our aim is to achieve exports equal to 20% of GDP in another Five years. Naturally, we need to put extra efforts to increase our exports. This workshop is being arranged to keep the industry update on Challenges and Opportunities related to International Trade, particularly for the year 2020.
