Technical Seminar on Welding Technology for Industry 4.0 - Aug 21, 2019

Theme & Objective :

Welding & Testing Technology Industry 4.0 is a name given to the current trend of Welding & Testing automation and data exchange in manufacturing technologies. It includes cyber-physical systems, the Internet of things, cloud computing and cognitive computing. Industry 4.0 introduces what has been called the “Smart Welding  Factory,” in which cyber-physical systems monitor the physical processes of the factory and make decentralized decisions. The physical systems become Internet of Things, communicating and cooperating both with each other and with humans in real time via the wireless web. Need for environment, health and productivity consideration is quickly changing the fabrication & construction procedure dramatically.

Venue  & Time :

Board Room, Bombay Chamber, The Ruby, NW-4th Floor, Dadar (W), Mumbai – 400028  ||   9.00am to 6.00pm

Benefits of Welding & Testing an Industry 4.0  :

But the benefits of an Industry 4.0 model could outweigh the concerns for many production and fabrication facilities. In very dangerous working environments, the health and safety of human workers could be improved dramatically.  Supply chains could be more readily controlled when there is data at every level of the manufacturing and delivery process. Computer control could produce much more reliable and consistent productivity and output. And the results for many businesses could be increased revenues, market share, and profits.. The skill of the specially qualified personnel drives the success of robot welding and optimizing the high quality output. AWS has also recognized the need of certified individuals in robotic arc welding for the quality through put in the industry.

The proof of active practice or re-examination is required every year for the below categories.

1. Operator: basic knowledge of robot operation & station, how to operate robot & station.

2. Robot teacher: Teaching fundamentals, welding angles, Basic Robot instructions

3. Robot programmer: Expert teaching,Modifications in program, creating program.

Topics :

● Welding process selection for Industry 4.0

● Selection of welding consumables

● Code ,Standards and Specification for Robotic welding [ Quality Assurance as International requirement]

● Robotic welding — machines, devices, sensors and people that connect and communicate with one another.

● Information transparency — the systems create a virtual copy of the physical world through sensor data in order to contextualize information.

● Technical assistance — both the ability of the systems to support humans in making decisions and solving problems  and  the ability to assist humans with tasks that are too difficult or unsafe for humans.

● Decentralized decision-making — the ability of physical systems to make simple decisions on their own and become as autonomous as possible.

● Film on Robotic welding
