Workshop on Business Communication - Oral & Written - Dec 11, 2018

Due to overwhelming response we received for Workshop on "Business Communication Skills - Oral & Written", we have closed accepting registration for 11th December.  However, we are conducting it on December 10, 2018.

Introduction :

Effective Oral & Written Communication Skills are essential for the organization’s smooth functioning. In e-mail communications best e-mail practices have to be followed.

Executives need to have some amount of English fluency, effective e-mail writing and oral communication skills. In India English is not only our associate official language but the language of business and administration.

There can be no relationship without communication. For Communication to be effective the different nuances of verbal, non-verbal communication and differing perceptions of people have to be taken into account. Not only oral but written communication also has to be clear and effective for successful organization. Clarity in writing can save time, money and energy of every company. Inconsistent, shabby writing of emails across different countries can never enhance the image of the company. Millions of rupees and goodwill are lost due to unclear, inconsistent and verbose business communication. This training input is geared to help participants write clear, reader-friendly emails.

Objectives :

To provide tools that are critical for effective oral & written communication,  To help develop ‘musts’ of effective communication skills including email communication, To develop assertive skills – i.e. the art of being pleasantly polite, To develop  the skill to write in a clear, reader friendly way which give results.

‘Musts’ to communicate with impact - Nuts & Bolts of Communication skills  - Verbal Communication with seniors, customers & peers, 2-way communication,  use of all channels, Skillful listening  - “You” centered communication, classifying a complex message, Overcoming Barriers in Communication, Skillful listening -Assertive Communication -Building ‘working relationship’ - Written Communication - Five Steps to Successful Listening -  a key to communicate well – techniques to improve listening skills, clarifying, listening with responsibility, Intelligent use of voice through techniques like lifting key words, putting life into words, Overcoming barriers in communication, Assertive Communication -  the art of being pleasantly direct, Building ‘working relationship’ to make communication easy. - Written communication - Five Steps to Successful Email Writing, - Mechanics of Writing.


Participation Level :

The workshop is designed for Executives/Managers and middle Management level staff from all functional areas.

Dr. Lata Shetty, is the Director, Mainstream Training Centre, which offers Soft Skills Training Programmes in a variety of settings.  Qualifications: B.Sc., M.S.W., Ph.D., a gold medalist throughout her academic career and holds a Doctorate from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).
