Workshop on Presentation Skills and Confidence Building - Nov 15, 2018

Introduction :

Confidence makes a big difference in building success in our life. There is no substitute for competence in building confidence. A person feels confident to become competent in building skill sets to present self in a professional manner with such training.

Brilliant technical ability or job know how is not adequate at the workplace. Effective presentation skills coupled with persuasive skills gives one an edge over the others.

There may be a few ‘natural born’ presenters, however the majority of us have to learn how to present before a group. We have to know how to prepare, package and deliver the message we want people to accept. These skills can be taught and learnt. The fear of speaking before a group is learned; therefore this fear can be unlearned. The habits we bring to platform and podiums are learned. Therefore, new and improved habits can be learned. An ‘information dumping’ approach is learned. To making presentations effective this needs to be unlearned.
