Workshop on IMDG Code & Dangerous Goods - General Awareness & Documentation - Jul 26, 2018

Introduction :
No one sees what’s in the container except those who packed them. Entire supply chain of dangerous goods works on the documentation called 'Dangerous Goods Declaration' submitted by the shipper. Carriers accept the goods on behalf of this Declaration and so do the Ports. An incorrectly filled declaration can result in rejection before loading or delays en route and may compromise safety.

About the Trainer :

Mr. Shashi Kallada started his career in merchant navy and sailed for more than a decade. Leaving the sea in 2003, he joined P&O Nedlloyd as a Specialist in Dangerous Goods and later worked with Maersk Line as Manager, Global Dangerous Goods. He was responsible for the more than 500+ships carrying Dangerous cargo belonging to Maersk Line, MCC Transport, Mercosul Line and Safmarine. He left Maersk Line in October 2010, and since then has been conducting training, seminars and providing consultancy in dangerous goods by Rail, Road, River and Sea.
