Introduction :

Supplier Relationship Management is a comprehensive approach to effectively manage an organization’s relationship with its suppliers. SRM is an important modern-day strategies of a cost-effective supply chain. 

SRM’s goal is to streamline and make more effective the processes between an organisation and its suppliers. It aims at assessing, selecting and evaluating quality vendors with the ultimate objective of reducing operating cost while improving quality and productivity. 


The objective is to create a closer, more collaborative and win-win relationship with suppliers. The highlight is the approach to be adopted to evaluate the critical attributes of vendors and the associated aspects which deal with vendors and procurement.
