Introduction :

There may be a few ‘natural born’ public speakers, however the majority of us have to learn how to speak before a group. Brilliant technical ability or job know how is not adequate at the workplace. In the process they must vie with hundreds of others wanting to meet the doctor. The fear of speaking before a senior/group is learned; therefore this fear can be unlearned. An effective public speaking skill gives them an edge over the others. Public speaking skills can be acquired with practices & training inputs.

There will be occasions when a person will get only one chance to make a presentation to business associates, customers and others. Excellent public speaking skills in terms of conviction, ability to influence, to make an impact, flexibility to vary the length and adapting to different audiences are critical factors. 


Broad Goal of the Programme : To develop effective Public speaking Skills in participants
 
Objectives of the Programme :
  • To increase confidence level of participants when speaking in public

  • To help acquire skills of making audience centric public speaking

  • To develop platform skills – confident body language, eye contact, purposeful movement 

  • To improve the ability to make intelligent use of voice – audibility, vocal variety, energy in the voice

  • To acquire NLP techniques for effective public speaking skills

  •  A professional mindset in keeping with the current global standards

  •  Types of speeches – impromptu, extemporaneous, speaking on special occasions

  •  Making a presentation with video shooting 

  •  Presentation Skills – organizing and structuring content of presentation

  •  Delivery of presentation – voice modulation, eye contact, body language and others

  •  Overcoming Nervousness before a Presentation/ Public speaking

  •  Presentation with video shooting after giving the training inputs

  •  Difference between a mediocre presentation and a forceful presentation - Special NLP techniques for Win-Win encounters, Rapport building & Modeling techniques

  •  Essentials of effective communication – as a speaker ensure clarity, brevity & completion through the use of different techniques

  •  Techniques to avoid one-way communication 


Methodology & Requirements :
  •  The participants have to come prepared with 1 topics of 3 minutes duration. The topic should be of extra ordinary interest to the group. 

  •  Their presentation would be ‘video shot’ first without any training input and the second time it would be with the training inputs.  (CD containing the video shot will be given to all the participants)
