Workshop on Board Compliance - Dec 14, 2017

Background :

The role of the board of directors has increasingly come under scrutiny in light of recent corporate board room battles which has got the governance to the core. This session seeks to emphasize the fact that board of directors are ultimately accountable for establishing policies, practices, and procedures for complying with the regulatory norms. The Board is responsible for embedding a compliance culture in a corporation which will ensure growth and sustainability of the corporation.

 

Objective :

To discuss the key issues in complying the regulatory requirements and ways to address the same.

Having worked as in-house counsel with Dabhol Power, Enron, Hindustan Unilever, Essar Group, Fiat and others, and then as Managing Partner of a law firm, Suhas has clear understanding of corporate requirements and lawyers predicaments.
