Anjali Bansal

Anjali Bansal is the Founder of Avaana Capital which invests in and provides scaling up support to innovation-led start-ups for catalysing impact at scale while delivering commercial returns.

Anjali has invested in and mentored various successful start-ups including Delhivery, Urban Company, Darwinbox, Nykaa, Lenskart, Coverfox and Loantap. She is closely associated with NITI Aayog’s Women Entrepreneurship Platform, digital solutions, and mentor to the Atal Innovation Mission. She has been appointed on the Expert Advisory Committee for the Start Up India Seed Fund Scheme announced by Honourable Prime Minister.

Anjali is former Non-Executive Chairperson of Dena Bank, appointed by the Government of India to steer the resolution of the stressed Bank, eventually leading to merger with Bank of Baroda. She serves as an independent non-executive director on several leading boards including Tata Power, Kotak AMC, and Piramal Enterprises. She has previously chaired the India board of Women's World Banking, a leading global livelihood-promoting institution and on the Managing Committee of the Indian Venture Capital Association. Moreover, she previously served on the boards of GSK Pharma and was Chairperson of FWWB.

She has been President , Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and serves on the CII National Committee on Corporate Governance. Anjali previously co-founded and chaired the FICCI Center for Corporate Governance program for Women on Corporate Boards. She is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and charter member of TiE. She was listed as one of the “Most Powerful Women in Indian Business” by India’s leading publication, Business Today, and by Fortune India.

Nilesh Shah

Nilesh Shah is Group President and Managing Director of Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Limited.

Nilesh was part of the team that has received “Best Fund House of the Year” Award at all the mutual funds where he has worked.

Nilesh is part time member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister.


Dr. Sachchidanand Shukla

Dr. Sachchidanand Shukla is Chief Economist of the Mahindra Group. He has over 20 years of experience spanning capital markets and financial services. Prior to joining the Mahindra Group, he was associated with Axis Capital (earlier known as ENAM) as Chief Economist.

His key areas of research have been financial markets, strategy, development policy, programme implementation and impact evaluation. He has a Ph.D in financial economics from Birla Institute of Technology and a post graduate degree in Economics from the University of Mumbai as well as PGDBM (Finance) and has been a recipient of K.J Somaiya Gold Medal.

He is currently a part of NITI Aayog’s Consultative Panel of Economists and has been associated as an External Expert with a Planning Commission of India and World Bank study titled Maharashtra Development Report, 2002, accepted by the then Chief Minister, Maharashtra.

He is keenly associated with academia and is a Member of Board of Somaiya Vidyavihar University in Mumbai and has also authored a book (on macro­economics for BMS course of University of Mumbai) besides publishing several research papers. He has also been a keen participant in research seminars, conferences and discussions on macroeconomics across forums.


Abizer Diwanji

Abizer Diwanji is the Head of Financial Services with EY India. He has 30+ years’ experience in advising in M&A advisory, Restructuring Advisor, Business advisory and Regulatory advisory services. He has worked on government projects including the LIC cards and the GIPSA health insurance claim process outsourcing ventures, and is a member of various committees, was with KPMG India for 15 years of which 3 were as head of Financial Services.

Abizer is a Rank Holder Chartered Accountant, and a Commerce Graduate from the University of Mumbai.


Ananth Narayan

Ananth Narayan is an international banking and financial markets expert. He was previously Standard Chartered Bank's Regional Head of Financial Markets for ASEAN and South Asia, managing foreign currency, interest rates, commodities, derivatives and debt capital markets businesses across 12 countries.

Prior to Standard Chartered, Ananth has worked in Deutsche Bank and Citibank, also in the area of financial markets sales and trading.

Ananth was Vice Chairman of FIMMDA and FEDAI, and also served on the boards of CDSL, SCSI and SCB Nepal Ltd. He has been part of several working groups and committees of RBI, including Financial Benchmarks, introduction of INR FX Options, introduction of Interest Rate Futures, reporting of OTC derivatives, and introduction of interest rate options.

Ananth continues to serve on the SEBI Mutual Fund committee.

Utpal Sheth 

Utpal Sheth is a Chartered Financial Analyst from The Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India with an All India Gold Medal in one of the final groups. He is a Cost and Works Accountant from The Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. He also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Mumbai University – Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics.

He is CEO and Senior partner of Rare Group which is proprietary asset management firm with AUM exceeding ~$1Bn. His focus therein is on long-term investing in public and private markets, portfolio construction and stock picking. He engages with investee companies to enhance shareholder value by emphasizing sustainable value drivers.

He is a Founder and Mentor of Trust Group and Chanakya Wealth Creation. They are the leading fixed income firm which has evolved into a full –service financial services firm. In trust group his focus is on strategy, institutionalization and team building. In Chanakya wealth creation he co-manages the portfolio and is involved in investment strategy and portfolio weights.
