Webinar - Making Remote Working Engaging - Sep 22, 2021

Overview :

Like any conventional team, a team consists of a group of people who interact to complete interdependent tasks and work towards a common goal. But unlike a team working face-to-face in the same physical office, the team members now work from different places, often at home, and sometimes, in different time zones. Sometimes they may never meet their co-workers face-to-face. These are virtual teams. This has led to various challenges in managing team performance and team members, not to mention keeping them engaged, which is more challenging in the online space as the team now works remotely.

 

The manager / leader faces the challenge of managing people they may meet in person less often, and dealing with people from widely different cultures, languages and with different personalities. Issues and differences can arise because of team members' working in different time zone. Each person has different expectations, different experiences and different working styles. The manager and team both must work hard to ensure each person can contribute effectively and to ensure the team pulls together towards the common goal.

Speaker :

Ryan Barretto is India’s 1st Strengths Strategy Coach.  He is also a Corporate Trainer and an HR Consultant. A graduate from TISS, Ryan brings 25 years of rich experience in all HR domains. His work experience also pans across multiple industries like Telecom, IT Education, Logistics, Loyalty Marketing Services, Health Insurance & Time Share.  A few of the esteemed brands that he has worked for during his corporate stint, have been Vodafone, Deutsche Bank, NIIT, Max Bupa Health Insurance, and a startup, Payback (formerly i-Mint). He is adept at Coaching, Training and creating HR systems, policies and strategies.  He is a licensed PRISM Practitioner, ICF Certified Coach and is a Strengths Strategy Certified Coach from Strengths Strategy, Inc, USA and is familiar with other psychometric tools like FIRO – B, PI, OPQ & MRE.  He is also a certified Personnel Counsellor from Heart to Heart Institute, Mumbai.  He is certified as a Situational Leadership trainer for the Building Leaders program. He's also certified in a 360 degree leadership assessment tool called GLA360 from Global Coach Group.
