Supreme Court imposes costs, to be recovered from the officers of the Government responsible, for delay in filing SLP's   Jan 22, 2021

On Noticing that the Special Leave Petition has been filed with delay of 1288 days without any cogent or plausible ground for condonation of delay, the Supreme Court imposes costs of Rs 25,000/- on the State of Karnataka for wastage of judicial time. The Supreme Court also directed that the costs should be recovered from the officers responsible for the delay.
